Sticky Situation is a video project that explores my personal experiences with discrimination as a bi-racial individual. The video focuses on my mouth, while I recount a number of narratives related to this theme. After each narrative, I insert one white gumball and one black gumball into my mouth, symbolizing my white and black heritages. By the end of the 6 minutes, my mouth is so full of this grey mass that I am no longer able to speak, leaving me seemingly voiceless.
